Real Time Search In Google (with a little help from its friend)

twitter

A few weeks ago I stumbled across a greasemonkey script that allows you to see twitter search results whenever you do a google search.

I can’t believe how useful it is.

There is a general consensus amongst the mainstream media that twitter is a fad for celebs and their obsessed fans. Integrating it with search proves them clearly wrong. Now whenever google comes up short I just look to my right and the answer is often sitting there.

Google should acquire twitter for this feature alone. It’s the future of search.

Download the script *(requires Greasemonkey and Firefox)

*The original script was a bit flawed in my opinion in that it displayed the twitter result above those from google. However after a little tweak it now displays the code in another column to the right of the google results.
